OLAPC CURRICULUM

A Curriculum is a list of subjects offered by a school. OLAPC offers a diversity of curriculum. This is in accordance with the Federal and State Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) approved syllabus for Junior Certificate Examination (JCE), and also meets the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and National Examination Council (NECO) approved syllabus for the West African Secondary Certificate Examinations (WASSCE). This curriculum gives a wide range of learning experiences to the students and prepares them for state and National Examinations.

The OLAPC curriculum for both Junior and Senior Secondary Education is in line with the National Policy on Education. The subjects for the Junior Secondary Education are:

History is compulsory for all students fromJSS1 to SS2. At the junior school level, the various subjects and corresponding practicals are meant to develop the students and prepare them for the future, as they grow from childhood to adolescents and adulthood, and to enable them fit into the various subjects areas in senior school such Arts, Social Sciences and Sciences. The curriculum is designed to give the students integral formation.
